Making the breakaway: both great in that you greatly increase the odds of winning (and get a nice ego boost), but also extremely uncomfortable. Who could have guessed trying to ride faster than the 36 guys chasing you was so painful, right? I made it happen this weekend and we put a solid 50 seconds into the pack by the finish. Unfortunately, I ended up second to the beastly looking dude in second wheel.
